your account is YOUR responsibility. if you give someone your password and they break the rules, the account the rules were broken on will be tempbanned until the password is changed, and if it continues occuring, it will result in a permban! please be mindful of who you give access to your account as it could land you with a ban.
We want this category to be a safe space for members of the community, but we also want other members to feel safe reading these at the same time. In order to keep this peace, I figured some general guidelines may help out. So here’s some general etiquette to follow in this category. Consider these kind of like the rules for this category and follow them.
Do not attack anyone for their views or opinions. This category is for people to vent and get out feelings, not for political/social revolutions or arguments. Try to keep that stuff out of topics here as much as possible.
Do not make jokes about someones trauma, experiences, or vents in general. This should be obvious but you know, sometimes we have to spell things out. Do not joke about anything someone says in this category. People are sharing their rough moments with you willingly so it’s rude to make jokes about it. We get it, dark humor exists. But this category is not the place for it. People are talking about serious issues here sometimes and dark humor has no place here.
Try to keep trigger warnings as much as possible. Use the tag and add it into the title Trigger warnings help to keep peoples mental health safe here. So if you mention topics such as suicide, self-harm, or other dark topics make sure to put TW and whatever triggers are in the topic in the title, as well as using the spoiler for detailed things just to keep everyone safe from seeing things that may be detailed in words of gore or other self harm topics. Generally, talking about or sending photos of self-harm or suicidal topics should be avoided but I get it, art is some peoples way of expressing themselves, and not everyone has the resources to be able to talk about their issues. But, due to the fact of this site not being 13+ and having people under teenage years as well as people in their teenage years and above having triggers, it’s best if topics of self harm and suicide are mentioned in DM’s to a trusted person or you could call the suicide hotline at 988, but MPPC is generally not the place to get the help that you need. If you need to talk to someone, my dm’s are always open and I’ll try to help to the best of my ability!
Try to keep people on the communities names out of topics. If theres a situation you need to vent about that concerns a member of the community, come up with a fake name for this person in order to prevent drama on the community. Bringing peoples names into posts just leaves room for people to argue on vent posts. I get it, we don’t always get along on MPPC, no one always gets along. But, either generalize the post or use a fake name, and if you realize a post is about you, do not try to argue on that post. Keep it to DM’s. Arguments on posts will be locked ASAP.
Do not say any slurs. I get it, sometimes you want to vent about people calling you things you dislike or that hurt you. But if you mention a slur, whether it be a racial slur or a slur used towards another group of people, censor it or say something like “[insert _ slur]” or “[_ slur]”. Slurs cause drama and in general should not be said. This includes but is not limited to: The R word, The F slur, The N word, The CC slur, you get the point.
Don’t mention any sexual topics. While I get that sexual interactions may be a part of life, it shouldn’t be mentioned here due to underage members of this community being here. Any vent topics including anything explicitly stating anything about sex or anything related to that sort of thing will be deleted and will result in a mute. Remember that there are some things that just generally shouldn’t be added to vent topics on the internet, especially on a forum with no age limit. Talk about these things with people you trust or family members, not here.
Use this category for the intended purpose. Don’t post any spam topics or anything that is not a vent. These topics will be locked/deleted at the choice of whatever staff members think is fit. We want to keep these categories as clean as possible and keep them in use of their original purpose. if you continue to make these topics, it will result in a mute or ban again at the discretion of staff.
You get the point, basically. Use common sense and your good judgement to figure out if the things you’re posting should actually be posted on a forums site with children on it. If it isn’t something you’d tell an 8-10 year old, try to be as vague as possible with it. You’re welcome to vent and if you need someone I’m here to talk whenever I’m online. I’ll try to give the best advice I can if you need it, but if you just need to vent, I’m still here, and I’ll be glad to listen!

I’d like to remind everyone that NSFW is against the rules here and such things should not be posted. Posting NSFW will now be an immediate ban for at least 2 days depending on prior offenses. There are kids on this site, act like it. Watch what you post and watch what you say here. It’s getting annoying that everyday some of the staff has to delete posts due to NSFW, when it is clearly stated as against the rules. I’d appreciate it if I didn’t see posts about people’s personal parts or people pleasuring themselves whenever I come online, and I think everyone would, between both our older and younger users it makes people uncomfortable and we want this to be a safe space for everyone. I get that we’re not always gonna get along but instead of posting these issues, I, and the rest of the staff, are asking people to keep these issues to DM’s. Your issues have nothing to do with the rest of the community, and should be kept that way. Callout posts, anything in bios or signatures that are obviously directed in order to start drama (e.g. using this person’s name, screenshots, etc.) will from now on result in a ban. If you have an issue with someone, do not get the public community involved in this issue, keep these issues to DM’s. If you need help solving an issue, contact a staff member and we’ll be glad to help you find the best way to solve these issues (without getting involved ourselves). I figured that when he didn’t come back in the next few days questions would arise so I figure it’d be best to make a public statement about his ban and why we chose to do it the way we have so in short,we’ve decided as staff that it is best not to bring Thetruepath back into the community due to his lack of ability to control his anger and constant bullying and attacks via his bio.
As staff, our job is to keep our community a safe and healthy place for users and people shouldn’t feel scared to talk or even exist for fear of being attacked. I personally understand issues with your anger on another level, but if you can’t control those issues on a piano forum, why should we allow you to be here? We can’t accommodate for everyone’s mental health issues and we have to make decisions that we see best for the community. So yes, he was permbanned. And no, his ban will not be removed until he shows that he can handle his anger and won’t attack members of this community. “Bring Thetruepath back” groups aren’t gonna be of any use so don’t make them. This is me telling you that until there’s change on his end, there will be none on ours. Thank you all for understanding!!

Before you post something, think about it. Please. The age range of users here is from 10-25 years old. If it’s not something that a 10 year old should see, don’t post it. If it’s generally gross/illegal, don’t post it. If it’s something that could ruin someone else’s reputation, don’t post it. If it’s against the rules, don’t post it. Please, use your common sense and don’t post things that are going to either, get deleted, locked, or get you banned.
i feel like a lot of people don’t understand what being in love feels like. you don’t love someone if you don’t love THEM, and i know that makes no sense but a lot of people love how people make them feel, love how people care for them instead of loving the person themselves, then when things go wrong or they stop doing those things because of something, then the person is all “oh i just lost feelings” and shit.
I get it, it’s frustrating when we mess up, but we’re human too. We make mistakes and we don’t always make the best decisions. But rather than attacking us for these decisions, give us constructive criticism so that we can get better as moderators and make our general community a better place. We deserve the same respect that we give you guys when we try to help you guys be better for the community. We only make decisions that we feel would be the best for the community, and sometimes they’re rash irresponsible decisions that aren’t for the best of the community, but we correct each other on things and we’re getting better, if you have any suggestions, please, let us know. they’re honestly so understanding and i’m lucky to have people like them to talk to. i was having an anxiety issue earlier while i was talking to someone, was on the phone with all of them, and they basically talked me through everything, didn’t tell me i was overreacting or get pissed at me over it. i honestly really appreciate them trying to understand and help me with my panic disorder so much. because little things can get in my head and i spiral so quickly it’s concerning. my meds are finally starting to kick in so i wasn’t panicking to the point of having a panic attack but still shaking a bit, scared, etc. and they just listened to me about all of it, and parker started talking about how he never liked this person anyways 
. so that made me laugh, but yeah man. they’re so worth my time and i’ll always do the same for them if they ever need me because they’re literally my lifeline and vice versa.
whoevers doing the view things, stop it. a topic i posted 10 minutes ago shouldn’t have 1k views, this isn’t funny really, it’s just confusing the community and seems to have no purpose, so can we please chill out?? thank you.

Hey guys, I just wanted to come and ask you guys to please, if you have a situation talk to us directly. It’s much easier for us to be able to figure things out and investigate things if we know what’s going on and we can get a clear picture from you. Things get muddy going from user to user and it’s much easier if you just talk to us about things before going and talking to other users.
