connotation
an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning.
βthe word βdisciplineβ has unhappy connotations of punishment and repressionβ
A lot of the people on this site donβt really show that they understand connotation.
When you say things, use words that have a negative connotation, specifically words that most people would take as insults like βmother fuckerβ, βbitchβ, and other words, people are most likely going to react negatively. Just because youβre joking does NOT mean that everyone else will understand youβre joking, because normal people (my apologies) dont take cussing and insults as a βjokeβ, especially when you dont REALLy know the. I hope its a matter of not understanding, rather than being rude on purpose.
Its not just something you learn about in school and you use for reading, and iβd like for people to think about what they are typing and how its going to come across before they actually send it
Iβm not going to act like iβm a perfect person because obviously iβm not and in the past I was definitely worse, but iβd say I definitely have grew as a person after almost a year of not being on this site, and iβd like to hopefully see that everyone has grown past the way they used to act
Have a good day
tl:dr, certain words invoke certain reponses, try not to be rude for no reason
